IT is the titular main antagonist in Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel It. The character is an ancient, trans-dimensional evil entity which preys upon the children of Derry, Maine, roughly every 27 years, using a variety of powers that include the ability to shapeshift, manipulate reality, and go unnoticed by adults. The contrasting imagery on the front of both the shoes depicts IT emoting his mischievous evil face on one and his scary face showing all of his teeth on the other. Blood splatters, the clown’s balloons and his famous quote “You’ll float too!” adorn the rest of the shoes.
